With just under a month to go until Christmas, there are a number of festive markets, events and activities happening within Derby/Derbyshire.. We've rounded up a number of them that are happening this weekend.. 
MATLOCK VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS MARKET
Friday 3rd December 9:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday 4th December 9:00am – 7:00pm
Sunday 5th December 9:00am – 6:00pm
Held in Derbyshire Dales District Council's historic and award-winning Hall Leys Park, Matlock, the family-friendly event also plays host to some of the area's best festive entertainment as well as Proctors Fun Fair with its popular dodgems, waltzer and helter skelter rides, as well as a whole host of child-friendly attractions. FESTIVE DERBY FESTIVE MARKET
Wednesday 1st - 24th December 2021
Derby’s Festive Outdoor Market returns this year with gifts galore and a host of festive stalls to get you in the Christmas spirit! Soak up the atmosphere and browse a range of unique gifts each week including hand-crafted products from locally-owned Benaberry, gifts for both him and her from Darley’s Jewellery, and unique designs from Thunderbug designs, as well as festive food and drink. It’s the perfect opportunity to do some Christmas shopping, support small businesses and treat yourself to a mince pie. For more information here.
SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY
Saturday 4th December 2021
This year, the event will take place at the University of Derby’s Law School on Agard Street in Derby and it's completely free to attend.
On the day, delegates will be greeted by a variety of stalls and exhibits. Enjoy some light refreshments at The Union of Students on-site café. The climax to the event will be a celebration in the main lecture theatre with stunning views of the City of Derby including plenty of special guests.

CHRISTMAS @ DEDA

Looking for the perfect way to get into the festive spirit, then head down to DEDA from 11.00am and join them at their FREE christmas tree decorating and carols event. Perfect for all the family.
A fun and festive way to celebrate the lead up to Christmas. Whether your children would love to make some new decorations that you can hang up on your Christmas tree, or an opportunity to belt out your favourite Christmas Carols!

TREASURE ISLAND
Friday 26th November - Friday 31st December 2021
Set sail on the high seas for a spectacular swashbuckling adventure at Derby Theatre during Christmas 2021. Theresa Heskin's award-winning adaptations is inspired by Robert Louis stevenson's classic tale of buried treasure and buccaneers. A pirate-filled production for the whole family. KIDSQUAD CHRISTMAS CARD CRAFTING WORKSHOP @ QUAD
Saturday 4th December 2021
This will be a lovely chance for your kids to create contemporary mixed media Christmas cards with artist Helen Jackson, where they will create festive designs combining mono printing, collage drawing and sewing!
