Best Digital/Creative Start Up

Darren RobinsonWinner: iScout - Darren Robinson

“The Mainframe awards offers much more significance to our business than the actual prize itself. To be peered reviewed as a start up business proposition and gain recognition as Best Digital Creative Start Up gives us the confidence to take a start-up lifestyle entity into a scale up as a business. The Mainframe award also gives leverage that we have a serious business offering within a very competitive market place of professional football commercial services. Our business started as a ‘man in the stand’ football scouting service but by immersing ourselves in the D2N2 Big House environment of business education & support, we have now learnt the 4th industrial revolution is firmly with us and rapidly changing and adapting into a Software as a Service (SaaS) business that also offers qualitative scouting assessment. Gaining access to education, mentorship and being signposted in the right direction is critical for any SME entity in its formative years and we are grateful to be part of Derby Digital Revolution in our attempts to disrupt a global sport such as professional football helping to keep Derby on the map as a leading football city both on and off the pitch. ”

Digital/Creative Impact

Claire Cutts & Joe ClarkWinner: V21 Productions - Claire Cutts/Joe Clark

"We really are very proud to have won the Mainframe 2019 Award for Digital/Creative Impact.

It’s wonderful to be recognised for projects that we feel so passionate about including the work produced for local Derby organisations Deda,  Derby Museum & Art Gallery, Quad and Sudbury Hall & the National Trust Museum of Childhood. Using a mixture of innovative technology and multimedia production we share wonderfully diverse and engaging spaces and their stories with far reaching audiences, and  are thrilled that our work now takes us across the UK, into Europe and the US.  Collaborating with incredibly talented people, it is their excellent work we are showcasing."

Digital/Creative Exceptional Growth

Andrew WarnerWinner: Anchor & Crew - Andrew Warner

"We are really proud for winning this award. Although it has my name on it, it is the whole team who should take credit as one can not work without the other. It also shows that the long hours put in by everyone is starting to reap their rewards and hopefully it will continue in the long run."

Digital Ambassador of the Year

Digital Ambassador of the Year - DrewWinner: Future Proof Films - Drew Taylour-Davis

Mainframe is the digital and creative backbone of Derby so it was a huge honour for Future Proof Films to win the Digital Ambassador of the Year award at this year's Mainframe Awards. Every single person and business nominated, shortlisted and lucky enough to win, plays a massive role in our city's creative and digital landscape so for FPF to be a recognised part of that is just incredible.
