The Mainframe Awards are an unprecedented opportunity to highlight and celebrate these talented creatives and their work.

Highlighting the Digital & Creative Community In Derby & Derbyshire
The city and wider county are together becoming a hotspot for digital & creative activity, with start-ups taking root here in increasing numbers and established businesses enjoying unprecedented growth. The Awards will bring together the movers and shakers of the Mainframe community for an exciting event showcasing those pushing the limits of what is possible, making a difference in business and helping to put our region on the UK digital & creative map.
 
With 10 categories covering everything from Best Digital Start-up to Creativity for Good and Rising Digital Star, Mainframe invite businesses, organisations and individuals from all sectors to enter, presenting a comprehensive showcase of the innovative spirit that exist in Derby & Derbyshire. The Mainframe Awards 2018 will be held at QUAD, the home of Mainframe and the digital hub in the heart of Derby city.

Entries Close: Wednesday 31st January 2018 6.00pm
Shortlist Announced: Wednesday 28th February 2018
General Ticket Release: Friday 30th March 2018
Awards Night: Tuesday 24th April 2018 from 6.00pm at QUAD

 

Award categories

Emerging Digital Star (Under 25)
Recognising an individual under the age of 25 who has made an impact on the digital landscape in Derby & Derbyshire. The region’s success in the digital arena depends on talent staying in our region and judges will look to reward the best and brightest young people for their efforts. The winner could be an entrepreneur or an excellent employee whose work has made a difference to their business.

Best Digital Start Up
A company or organisation that has launched in the last three years and has already found a strong and loyal digital following, customer base or audience. The winner will have bold ambitions and clear evidence their growth plans have got off to a solid start. Judges will be looking for bright, adaptable firms not afraid of challenging the established order.

Digital Ambassador of the Year
Awarded by the judges to an individual, company or organisation that is leading the way in digital application and development and helping inspire others in the community. The winner will be focused on making the region a great place for start-ups to work and tirelessly promote it to external organisations. They will play a key role in making the digital economy successful.

Project Most Proud Of
We know that it's not always the biggest, brightest or comercially beneficial projects that make you leap out of bed in the morning! We want to hear about the projects that really had an impact on you or your organisation.

Best Digital/Creative Individual Or Team
Always going the extra mile? A knack for pulling it out of the bag at the eleventh hour? Managed a project that took the world by storm? Then this is the category for you. The judges will be looking for clear evidence of what make you/them a cut above the rest.

New Product To Market
Awarded by the judges to an individual, company or organisation demonstrating creativity and innovation in brining their new product to market. The product must have launched in within the last twelve months.

Creativity For Good
The winner will be able to demonstrate how their product, project or organisation has contributed to the betterment of lives through creative means; both locally or further afield.

Putting Derby/Derbyshire On The Map
An award that's particulary close to our heart's. The winner will be someone making us proud in how they flying the flag for our region.

Client Of The Year
This category is designed to reward Clients that show an outstanding and enlightened approach to digital and creative business solutions; as well as recognising the important role that Clients play in facilitating the production of great work.

Best Digital Innovation
The judges are looking for individuals or companies with something that’s different or even something that hasn’t been done before. Whether you’re using new ideas to solve old problems, or using old ideas to solve new problems, it has to have an element of newness!
