As you may know, Derby has been shortlisted for the UK City of Culture in 2025, alongside seven other places: Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Bradford, Cornwall, County Durham, Southampton, Stirling and Wrexham County Borough.
The initial proposal was submitted earlier in 2021. In February 2022 the full proposal will be submitted. In developing the full proposal we have drawn on a range of views from different communities and stakeholders in the City.
As part of our consultation we are running three additional surveys to ensure all stakeholders have had a chance to provide input:
- The public – anyone who would like to provide input about their current artistic or cultural engagement and their hopes for City of Culture 2025.
- Artists, cultural practitioners and any other creative professions – based on their own perspectives.
- Artists or creatives working in communities or educational settings – based on the feedback that they receive from communities.
Artists or creatives may complete both of the latter surveys, where relevant. Please do share with others and encourage them to complete.
The deadline for completing the survey is 23 December 2021.
The data collected is anonymous and we will not reveal any individual identities in reports or outputs produced from the surveys. We will use the data for purposes of developing and evaluating the City of Culture 2025 proposal.
